KARINA DZIUBA

Karina joined Zarek Taylor Grossman Hanrahan LLP as a summer student in 2021 and 2022, returned for her articles in 2023, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2024. She rejoined the firm as an associate the same year. Karina obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor and holds an Honours Specialization Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Western University.

Karina’s practice focuses on insurance defence and property litigation, with particular expertise in accident benefits, tort claims, examinations under oath, and complex coverage and policy investigations.

Karina has appeared regularly before the Superior Court of Justice and the Licence Appeal Tribunal, and she has successfully argued matters before the Divisional Court. Her experience spans from early-stage claims handling to appellate advocacy, allowing her to provide strategic advice across all stages of litigation.

During law school, Karina was actively involved with Pro Bono Students Canada and Women and the Law, where she honed her advocacy and leadership skills. Her interest in insurance law and commercial litigation was sparked through advocacy-focused coursework and mentorship from leading practitioners in the field.

Outside of the office, Karina enjoys staying active through long nature walks and hiking, exploring new travel destinations, discovering the city’s food scene, and relaxing with her cat, a cup of tea, and a good documentary.
