Our Firm

Zarek Taylor Grossman Hanrahan LLP was founded in 1997 by its four name partners David Zarek, Michael Taylor, Eric Grossman, and Thomas Hanrahan. All four had developed their expertise in insurance defence at other leading firms and had met and worked together in the early 1990s.

Today, Zarek Taylor Grossman Hanrahan LLP has grown to more than 40 lawyers, and is recognized as Toronto’s pre-eminent insurance defence law firm.

With deep expertise in every area of insurance defence law, the firm has been involved in many of the leading cases in Canada and continues to maintain a service-first culture in customizing solutions for their clients.

While our small, founding group of professionals and support staff in 1997 has grown by more than 10 times since the beginning, the principles on which our firm was founded remain the same:
