SIMRAN WALIA

Simran has a B.A. with Honors in Sociological Theory from McMaster University. At the same time, she earned a Specialization Certificate in Management and Leadership from Mohawk College. She obtained her J.D. from California Western School of Law. During her time in California, Simran worked for California Innocence Project, a prominent criminal defense program that works to free wrongfully convicted felons in the Southern California area. She also received numerous awards for her oral and advocacy skills.

Simran moved back to Toronto in 2019. She excelled as an articling student at a fast-paced personal injury law firm in Toronto, with a focus on Tort and Accident Benefit Claims. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2022.

Simran joined ZTGH in 2022 and works primarily on Accident Benefits, Tort, Loss Transfer and Priority Disputes, and Estate Litigation.

Simran is a member of the South Asian Bar Association and is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.

When not practicing law Simran enjoys cooking, travelling, working out, and spending time with her 11-year-old German Sheppard/Labrador mix.
