AYLINA DHANJI

Aylina graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology with a B.A. (Hons.) in Legal Studies with a specialization in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She received the Faculty Award at convocation for the highest GPA and community involvement in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Aylina received her J.D. from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law with Cum Laude distinction. She was also awarded the Hennick Business Law Fellowship in both 2020 and 2021. Aylina developed a passion for litigation through her participation in the Nelligan O’Brien Payne Moot Court Competition and winning the uOttawa Appellate Advocacy Moot. Particularly, Aylina realized that she had a talent for advocacy during her trial advocacy class taught by The Honourable Kevin B. Phillips and Eric Granger.

Prior to joining ZTGH, Aylina summered at two full service legal practices. She gained experience in Small Claims Court, the Landlord and Tenant Board, Corporate litigation, Real Estate litigation and Estate litigation.

Aylina is excited to continue her legal career at ZTGH and looks forward to working in the areas of accident benefits, tort claims, examinations under oath, priority disputes, suspected fraud claims, and class actions.

Outside of the office, Aylina enjoys travelling and adventure. She has swam with great white and tiger sharks while shark cage diving in Hawaii. Aylina also loves music and can play almost any percussion instrument. On the weekends, you will find Aylina creating new episodes for her podcast “Law Students Can Succeed During Covid-19″.
