Laura graduated from the University of Toronto in 2010 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Criminology.  She then went on to obtain her J.D. from the University of Western Ontario in 2015 and was called to the bar in Ontario in 2016.

Prior to joining ZTGH, Laura practiced at a Toronto-based plaintiff personal injury firm, where she successfully advocated on behalf of her clients in various litigation matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Small Claims Court.  She also has experience with accident benefits matters before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and the Licence Appeals Tribunal (LAT).

Laura's main practice areas include accident benefits, LAT and priority/loss transfer disputes, as well as tort cases involving motor vehicle accidents.

Laura has gained international legal experience through her work with the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice, a women’s human rights organization based in The Hague, The Netherlands.  During law school, she was a staff editor for the Western Journal of Legal Studies and made several written contributions to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association Rights Watch Blog.  She also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, through their Family Law Project at the Superior Court of Justice in London, Ontario.

When she is not at the office, Laura enjoys travelling, dancing like nobody’s watching, and fostering her new-found interest in Formula 1 racing.
