20 Things for 20 Years

In 2017, ZTGH celebrated our 20th year by participating in 20 events. Thank you for being part of our success story, and we look forward to serving you for another 20 years!

1. We were thrilled to be named one of the Top 10 Insurance Defence Boutiques in Canada as voted by Canadian Lawyer Magazine.

2. We redesigned our logo which we launched January 1, 2017.

3. We held a surprise birthday party for the 4 founding fathers of ZTGH.

4. The first ZTGH photography contest was held. The winning picture was taken by Kirstan Perrone-Radford, entitled Kensington.

5. The ZTGH Community Newsletter began publication.

6. Thriving in Changing Times: We held an industry-wide educational seminar on the new landscape of driverless cars and the sharing economy at the Ritz  Carlton Hotel on May 5th, 

7. The Sharing Economy practice group co-chaired by Matthew Owen and Eric Grossman was created from the Thriving in Changing Times seminar.

8. We developed a searchable License Appeal Tribunal decision database with key case summaries.

9. The infamous How To Wear a Buff Video starring Michael Taylor and directed and edited by Sam Mazurek.

10. We held a #ZTGHEverywhere contest, where lawyers and staff brought our 20th anniversary logo to unusual places. The winner, Dagmara Mroczkowska, climbed the Table Mountain in Cape Town to get the winning photo.

11. We celebrated summer as a firm overlooking the downtown skyline at The Porch.

12. Josephine Manriza captured the trophy in the very first ZTGH Summer Olympics.

13. The monthly ZTGH Employee Spotlight was created.

14. We ran and walked with the Mel's Belles team to raise money for cancer research in the CIBC Run for the Cure.

15. The women of ZTGH participated in a mentoring program for young women at the Nelson Mandela Park Public School.

16. Eric Grossman was voted Lawyer of the Year in Personal Injury by Best Lawyers of Canada.

17. The firm held a Roast of Eric Grossman for family, firm, clients, and friends at the Storys Building.

18. We held our first Book Club meeting, and discussed Simply Brilliant by William Taylor over tea at the King Edward Hotel.

19. Our firm celebrated the Holidays with a Fire and Ice party at Pravda Vodka Bar.

20. At the end of the year, we asked for your help. We asked you to choose a charity that you would like us to donate to on your behalf. Thank you for your feedback, and thank you for helping us celebrate 20 years!
