Richard graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a B.A. (Hons.) in psychology in 2008 and received his J.D. from Queens University Law School in 2013. After articling with the firm he was called to the bar in 2014, then returned to the firm as an associate.
Richard has represented insurers in arbitration proceedings at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in both tort and accident benefits matters.
Richard also specializes in coverage issues, priority disputes, loss transfer disputes and subrogation claims.
Richard started his litigation practice working in a legal aid clinic and representing inmates in disciplinary hearings through the Correctional Law Project. Having worked in a variety of litigation contexts, he has come to understand the value of proactive litigation strategies tailored to suit the needs of individual clients. He is dedicated to achieving favourable results for his clients in a timely and cost-effective manner.
