Amanda obtained an Honours B.A. from the University of Western Ontario in 2008, with a Double Major in Criminology and Media Studies. She was the recipient of a Faculty of Information and Media Studies Gold Medal. She received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the bar in 2013, with a specialization in litigation, dispute resolution and the administration of justice.
Prior to joining the firm in 2016, she practiced in the areas of plaintiff personal injury, disability, mass torts and class actions. Amanda practices insurance defence litigation, with a focus on automobile insurance, particularly accident benefits, examinations under oath, loss transfer, and priority disputes. She has represented insurers before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court and the Social Security Tribunal on a variety of matters.
During law school, Amanda worked for Law in Action Within Schools where she designed and delivered legal-themed educational programming and job training to high school students in Toronto communities. She was also involved with Law Help Ontario, where she assisted unrepresented litigants to navigate the Small Claims Court litigation process.
